“Only a generation ago, the breakdown of modern science was the ideological ambition of a clique of weird postmodern thinkers. But indeterminacy and non-linearity are now a fact of our daily life, embedded in most digital technologies we use. We may pretend it is not so, but many designers are not pretending anymore.”
